Engineers, consultants, and professors detail the physical properties of engineering materials (such as steel, concrete, and wood), develop methods of analysis, and examine the relative merits of various types of structures and methods of fabrication. Subjects include the design, erection, and safety of structures ranging from bridges to transmission towers and tall buildings; technical information on outstanding, innovative, and unique projects; and the impact of natural disasters and recommendations for damage mitigation.
